Senior Quality Inspector
About the role
i3 is seeking a Senior Quality Inspector to support a unique and complex US Government production/engineering effort located in Huntsville, Alabama.
Responsibilities
- Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspection of mechanical and electrical assemblies to ensure compliance with drawings, work instructions, test requirements, and applicable quality standards.
- Work closely with production, engineering, quality, and supplier personnel to identify and document nonconformances, support inspection and test activities, and provide practical input into test plans, procedures, and process improvements.
- Create drawings, schematics, work instructions, and acceptance criteria interpretations.
- Use standard mechanical and electrical inspection equipment.
- Document inspection results and nonconformances.
- Participate in test plan, inspection plan, and procedure development.
Requirements
- Experience working in a controlled manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality system requirements.
- Experience in aerospace, defense, aviation, or another controlled manufacturing environment.
- Ability to provide practical quality input to engineering and production.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 6-12 years of relevant experience in quality control and/or assurance, preferably in the military and/or aerospace industry.

Benefits
Regular i3 hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, however, additional hours may be required on occasion. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
