Senior Quality Inspector

About the role

i3 is seeking a Senior Quality Inspector to support a unique and complex US Government production/engineering effort located in Huntsville, Alabama.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspection of mechanical and electrical assemblies to ensure compliance with drawings, work instructions, test requirements, and applicable quality standards.
• Work closely with production, engineering, quality, and supplier personnel to identify and document nonconformances, support inspection and test activities, and provide practical input into test plans, procedures, and process improvements.
• Create drawings, schematics, work instructions, and acceptance criteria interpretations.
• Use standard mechanical and electrical inspection equipment.
• Document inspection results and nonconformances.
• Participate in test plan, inspection plan, and procedure development.

Requirements

• Experience working in a controlled manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality system requirements.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, aviation, or another controlled manufacturing environment.
• Ability to provide practical quality input to engineering and production.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 6-12 years of relevant experience in quality control and/or assurance, preferably in the military and/or aerospace industry.

Benefits

Regular i3 hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, however, additional hours may be required on occasion. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
