Responsibilities

  • Develop, formalize, and implement inspection protocols, technical checklists, and test methodologies for capacitor production.
  • Implement and maintain process control and monitoring systems to ensure manufacturing stability, including SPC charts, control plans, and critical-to-quality parameter tracking.
  • Lead structured RCA/RCCA investigations and execute corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for process deviations, non-conformances, and product failures.
  • Collaborate closely with Production and Engineering disciplines to resolve process issues, verify manufacturability, and support validation of new designs.
  • Analyze process and test data to identify trends, reduce variation, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct internal quality audits to ensure compliance with regulatory, procedural, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Manage calibration, verification, and maintenance schedules for production, inspection, and metrology equipment.
  • Perform technical evaluation of incoming raw materials, including dielectric films, foils, terminals, insulation, and potting compounds.
  • Interface with Procurement and suppliers to resolve non-conformances and drive supplier quality improvements.
  • Publish monthly dashboards tracing production defects and supplier quality statistics for incoming inventory etc.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 8 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or a similar quality management system, including experience supporting or maintaining certification-level quality processes.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis, process capability assessment, and data-driven quality methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and technical problem-solving abilities, with effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, electrical schematics, and test reports.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
  • Prior experience with capacitor manufacturing processes or energy storage component fabrication.
  • Experience with pulsed-power components or high-voltage energy storage.
  • Knowledge of vacuum processing, epoxy/potting chemistry, or precision winding equipment.
  • Leverage Lean Six Sigma certification.
  • Experience with PLM/MES/PDM systems (e.g., SolidWorks, Siemens NX, Teamcenter, Boltline, etc.).
