Senior Quality Assurance Engineer
About the role
Design, implement and maintain quality assurance protocols and methods for processing materials into partially finished or finished products. Plan, implement and manage compliance of manufacturing and production processes with internal and external safety, quality and regulatory standards requirements for worldwide distribution. Design methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of production processes, production equipment and finished products. Perform analysis of reports and production data to identify trends and recommend updates or changes to quality standards and procedures when necessary. May assure compliance to in-house and/or external specifications and standards (i.e. GLP, GMP, ISO, Six Sigma). May prepare and provide product assurance documentation as required by customer programs.
Responsibilities
- Develop, apply and revise quality standards for receiving, in-process and final inspection in accordance with company and contractual requirements
- Review and evaluate in-process rejections, obtain disposition and implement corrective action as needed
- May interface with customers, vendors and various company departments to resolve quality problems and provide information
- Participate in audits
- Provide technical support to inspection personnel as needed
- May prepare and provide product assurance documentation as required by customer programs
Requirements
- 4 year degree, or a two-year associates degree with previous quality engineering experience
- Must be a US Citizen
- 2-5 years experience in manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contracts
- Understanding of root cause analysis, corrective action, and preventive action
- Knowledge of manufacturing and testing practices for mechanical and electrical equipment

Pay
$85,000 to $110,000
