Senior Quality Assurance Engineer
Job Summary
Gelest, Inc., part of the Mitsubishi Chemical Group, is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to support our growth in specialty materials. Reporting to the Director of Quality, you will collaborate across various departments to ensure compliance with ISO9001 and other applicable standards.

As a member of a dynamic team, you will play a pivotal role in advancing technologies that impact global industries. Your responsibilities include designing and implementing quality systems, leading continuous improvement initiatives, and representing Gelest in customer interactions.
Responsibilities
- Design, document, and implement quality processes, procedures, and systems to ensure compliance with ISO9001 and industry standards.
- Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on quality system principles, practices, and procedures.
- Investigate customer complaints and internal non-conformances, leading root cause analysis to resolve quality-related issues.
- Lead continuous improvement projects involving cross-functional teams and collaborate with suppliers to establish and maintain quality standards.
- Author, review, and approve protocols such as IQ/OQ/PQ, Gage R&R, and control plans.
- Conduct supplier audits and evaluations to ensure compliance with quality requirements and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience or equivalent in Quality related roles.
- Professional certifications such as Six Sigma Black Belt or Certified Quality Engineer preferred.
Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Full understanding of ISO9001 and related standards.
- Experience with continuous improvement processes and root cause analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to function in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $105k to $150k. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered.
Schedule
This is a hybrid position, with successful candidates expected to be onsite 3 days per week, or more as necessary to support the needs of the business. Multi-site travel may be required.
