About the role

We are recruiting a Senior Python Developer to join our Cyber Security organization. This role is expected to lead 5-6 junior Python developers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software systems primarily using Python, SQL, Bash, JavaScript, and other related technologies.
• Build interactive data reporting and visualizations using Plotly Dash, D3.js, AG Grid, and other tools that best meet the requirements of our business users.
• Work with Cyber business teams to understand data requirements and translate them into building and maintaining Apache Airflow DAGs.
• Expand and maintain our Django web application, build and maintain Plotly Dash-based visualizations, and develop Python-based ETL applications.
• Research emerging technologies and help manage our server infrastructure.
• Collaborate with other engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of internal clients.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to industry best practices and standards, including well-documented testing.
• Continuously review software systems to identify areas for improvement, implement new features, and optimize performance; suggest processes to automate.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends and apply them to software systems as appropriate.
• Aid with performance optimization and security testing initiatives to improve the system.
• Create and maintain architecture documentation and flow charts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in data engineering and software development, using Python (including Django) and SQL.
• Demonstrated knowledge of building and maintaining ETL data pipelines.
• Experience building data visualizations (experience with charting libraries such as Dash and Plotly a plus).
• Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices, including Agile methodologies, version control, continuous integration, and testing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex software systems.
• Experience integrating front-end and back-end technologies such as Django and FastAPI.
• Experience working with Linux-based infrastructure and services in a corporate setting.
• Experience with secure coding principles and security best practices.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment or independently and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
