Anticipated starting salary: \$10,000 to \$12,000 monthly.
About the role
The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional, and results-oriented individual to serve as Area Administrator of Child Protection Services. Subject to management approval, this position will oversee Child Protection Team Supervisors, working to maintain accountability and continuity of care in designated areas. The position provides input into regional planning activities for child protection and child welfare services and coordinates community and field office support with its counterparts in the Permanency and Intact Family Services areas. Responsibilities
- Serves as Area Administrator of Child Protection Services.
- Serves as full line supervisor of subordinate supervisory staff.
- Provides input into all regional planning activities for child protection and coordination with child welfare services.
- Coordinates program support services within the region.
- Consults with and advises community and regional advisory councils, committees, and private agencies on program needs, standards, and services.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Requirements
Requires an MSW or master’s degree in a related human services field, in business administration, or a juris doctorate.
- Four (4) years of administrative child welfare experience with an MSW, OR
- Five (5) years of administrative child welfare experience with a master’s degree in a related human services field, in business administration, or a juris doctorate.
