SENIOR PSYCHOLOGIST (HEALTH FACILITY) (SPECIALIST)
About the role
DSH-Metropolitan is seeking a full-time Senior Psychologist Specialist (Neuro Cognitive Remediation Pilot Program) who is knowledgeable, experienced, and dedicated to providing treatment to chronically and severely mentally ill patients presenting with cognitive difficulties.
Responsibilities
- Planning and implementing treatment interventions focused on cognitive remediation and social cognition training, with the goal of reducing dangerous and violent behaviors and improving daily functioning
- Providing assessment on a variety of outcome measures
- Collecting and analyzing data
- Training and directing a support team of psychiatric technicians
- Consultation with patients' treatment teams
Qualifications
- Active license as a psychologist in the State of California
- Must be willing to work in any Unit/Program and any shift to meet the needs of the facility
Preferred experience
- Experience providing psychological treatment to cognitively impaired individuals
- Cognitive rehabilitation
- Cognitive assessment
- Data collection
- Consultation
Training will be provided to an otherwise qualified candidate having experience providing treatment to severely mentally ill patients in a locked inpatient setting.
Pay
$10,828.00 - $13,937.00 monthly. New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.
