Senior Prototype Machinist — Tooling, Dies & VMC Operations

The Opportunity Join RSA Rochester (Integrity Tool) in Ontario, NY as a hands-on, high-trust machinist who owns the job from print to finished part. What You’ll Do Plan, program, set up, and run parts start-to-finish.Write and edit programs at the control and/or in CAM (Mastercam or similar).Execute independent setups on CNC mills and lathes.Run more than one machine at once—keep spindles productive while prepping the next job.Select tooling, workholding, fixturing, and optimize feeds and speeds.Build/repair/modify tooling, fixtures, dies, and gauges.Measure and hold close tolerances; self-inspect with the right metrology tools.Troubleshoot finish, dimensional, chatter, and tool life concerns.Mentor apprentices and contribute to team growth. What You Bring 5+ years of CNC machining and/or tool & die background.Blueprint literacy and GD&T; able to work independently from a print.Programming range: conversational, G-code at the control, and/or CAM (Mastercam preferred).Strong setup experience on both mills and lathes; wire EDM or grinding is a plus.Confidence holding +/- 0.001" or better.History of successfully running multiple machines at the same time.Reliable, safety-focused, and quality-driven work style.
