Senior Protective Design Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Review security/protective design criteria, codes and standards.
  • Develop security/protective design strategies in planning studies and design projects.
  • Interface with client security personnel to review and refine design strategies.
  • Cook up coordination between in-house design disciplines as part of a design team.
  • Create construction documents (drawings and specifications) that comply with project criteria.
  • Provide oversight and quality control of protective design reports and construction documents.
  • Review Statements of Work (SOWs) and develop in-house proposals for protective design efforts.
  • Lead in-house continuing education seminars on protective design.
  • Develop and present executive-level protective design briefings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or BS/BArch in Architecture.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer or Architect with 16+ years of relevant experience with security criteria.
  • 16+ years of relevant experience with concept studies, design documents, and construction phase services.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Able to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

  • Experience with drafting and modeling software (Revit and AutoCAD).
  • ASIS Protective Design Professional (PSP) certification preferred.

Pay

The expected annual compensation range for this position is $100,000.00 - $180,000.00. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
