Senior Protection Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced protection and coordination studies for substations and T&D systems.
• Develop protection schemes, calculate relay settings, and support NERC compliance.
• Perform arc flash studies, short circuit analysis, and time-current coordination.
• Integrate relay protection with SCADA systems.
• Serve as a technical lead on projects and mentor junior engineers.
• Contribute to business development and client relationship management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• BSEE (Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering).
• 10+ years of experience in Protection & Control Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) Licensed.
• SEL AcSELerator (MUST HAVE).
• Client Enervista (MUST HAVE).
• ASPEN Oneliner (MUST HAVE).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• MSEE (Power Systems focus).
• Consulting background.
• Mentoring experience.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for client support.
• Experience with SKM PTW, ETAP, RTDS/RSCAD (plus).
