About the Role

The Senior Proposal & Pursuits Specialist will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, exemplary attention to detail, strong business acumen, and adept problem-solving skills. This role involves coordinating with clients throughout the Request For Proposal (RFP) and Request for Information (RFI) processes to ensure all requirements, milestones, and timelines are met for international clients.

The specialist will foster relationships with existing clients (both internal and external), prepare documents, and collaborate with internal business leaders, subject matter experts, sales teams, and other cross-functional departments across global teams. The focus is on improving the RFP/RFI win rate by producing high-level proposals that adhere to and exceed stated requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Generate incremental opportunities through enhanced RFP/RFI, Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs), Security Questionnaires, and Vendor Requests, primarily for Provider and International Markets to improve win rates.
  • Coordinate with sales teams to ensure proposals are presented effectively and on time.
  • Support business and proposal development process improvements.
  • Maintain an up-to-date external proposal Responsive system and coordinate content reviews with internal subject matter experts.
  • Research and identify potential clients or customers as part of the pursuit process.
  • Draft, develop, and finalize RFP, RFI, Vendor Registrations, DDQ, and Security Clearance Request responses.
  • Respond to Security Questionnaires for existing and new potential clients using an existing library of resources and collaborating with the Security Officer/IT department.
  • Work with different departments to identify subject matter experts and coordinate their contributions to RFP/RFI responses.
  • Conduct thorough reviews and analyses of client RFPs/RFIs to identify requirements and scope of work.
  • Serve as the point of contact for client questions or clarification requests related to RFPs/RFIs.
  • Ensure RFP/RFI submissions are complete, accurate, and meet all formatting and submission requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a library of standard proposal responses in the Responsive system for future reuse.
  • Coordinate the delivery of completed proposals to appropriate parties.
  • Participate in post-bid analysis to identify areas for improvement in the proposal process.
  • Search and identify proposal opportunities for US and International markets, including public and private bids.
  • Review, qualify, and quantify opportunities using designated search engines such as Responsive, GOVWIN, MERX, and other platforms.
  • Create one-pager notification documents synthesizing opportunities and analyzing capabilities based on internal strengths and weaknesses.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience directly related to proposal work, preferably in the healthcare sector.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in administration.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in the healthcare industry is preferred.
  • Strong writing skills with a proven ability to create compelling and persuasive proposals for public and private sectors.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and ensure tasks are completed on time and to quality standards.
  • Experience working collaboratively with interdisciplinary project teams.
  • Advanced analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proficient with SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat, collaboration software, videoconferencing platforms, and RFP tracking software (e.g., Responsive).
  • Experience with funding opportunity research databases such as SAM.gov, Grants.gov, General Services Administration, Bloomberg, USAOpps, and Foundation Directory Online.

Pay

The compensation range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000, plus a comprehensive benefits package. Compensation offered will depend on factors including experience, skills, geographic location, and internal equity.

Schedule

  • Fully remote role with up to 10% travel based on business needs.
  • Occasional in-person gatherings (a few times a year for up to one week).
