Responsibilities
- Management & Operations: Expense control and maximizing value received for dollars spent.
- Day-to-day operations: Managing the property and its employees, contractors, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Hiring and mentoring: Providing input regarding hiring/firing of personnel and ensuring records and data are kept in an orderly fashion.
- Preventative maintenance: Establishing and monitoring ongoing preventative maintenance programs and training staff in this regard.
- Property information: Maintaining a system of property information and preparing annual property budgets.
- Reporting: Generating detailed monthly reports and presenting property management concerns/functions to owners, asset managers, or senior property managers.
- Inspection and maintenance: Regularly inspecting the property and implementing necessary programs to maintain buildings to the highest standard.
- Marketing and community engagement: Developing and implementing marketing strategies, fostering positive tenant, consumer, community, and philanthropic relationships, and initiating market research programs.
- Special projects: Planning and executing special projects as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum ten (10) years management experience in the real estate/property management area with a proven track record.
- Post-secondary education at a university or college level preferably in a real estate or business-related area.
- Designations for programs completed in the real estate sector are an asset.
- Prior 3rd party management experience is an asset.
- Real Estate License: Until 90 days from the Commencement Date, you must obtain your real estate license. You will set forth on Schedule 1 each jurisdiction in which you are licensed and maintain your real estate license in good standing in each jurisdiction listed on Schedule 1.
