Responsibilities

  • Serve as project manager on large and complex projects with multi-discipline project teams
  • Serve as Line Manager to recruit, develop, supervise, and retain junior staff
  • Serve as project principal, supervising less experienced project managers on smaller less complex projects
  • Supervise and direct preparation of planning studies, evaluations, and feasibility studies for water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure projects
  • Supervise and direct preparation of plans and specifications for new facilities and rehabilitation of existing facilities
  • Supervise and direct construction engineering support services
  • Lead the technical development of proposals
  • Serve as account leader responsible for creating and growing relationships with one or more clients

Requirements

  • Strong business acumen
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Environmental or similar)
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer (Colorado preferred)
  • 10+ years total experience in planning, design, and construction management of water, and wastewater infrastructure projects for major utility client
  • Strong technical skills and technical leadership experience, preferably including water or wastewater treatment plants
  • 5+ years experience in managing multi-discipline project teams
  • 5+ years experience in managing proposals for engineering projects
  • Experience in an entrepreneurial environment managing and growing client relationships

Qualifications

Qualified candidates must have:

  • Strong business acumen
