Duties, Responsibilities & Other

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration to ensure alignment and project success.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure all project deliverables meet KCI quality standards and client expectations.
  • Implement KCI quality control processes and conduct regular inspections.
  • Oversee project budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial targets are met.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders.
  • Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members.
  • Ensure all project activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and records.

Qualifications

Education and/or Skills Required:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on alternative delivery methods for transportation projects. - Significant design experience on alternative delivery or design build for transportation projects is required. - Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale transportation projects from inception to completion. - Strong understanding of Design-Build, P3, CMGC, PDB and/or IPD methodologies. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. - Proficiency in project management software and tools. - Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.

Education and/or Work Experience Preferred:

- Bachelor’s Degree in related field (AEC Industry) and minimum of 6 years of related professional experience, or 10 years of equivalent professional experience. - Experience should include a track record of expanding project management duties. - Proven experience in project management roles, with a focus on managing larger-scale projects or programs. - Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to project management, quality assurance, and safety protocols. - Effective problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions in a fast-paced environment. - Strong negotiation skills to manage contracts, scope changes, and stakeholder agreements effectively. - Strong understanding of accounting principles to effectively manage project budgets, financial reporting, and resource allocation.

Certificates, Licenses, And/or Registrations Required:

- Ability to complete the KCI PM Training and Contract Risk Training along with passing the PM Board within 6 months of start date. - Pre-employment drug screening and background check are conditions of employment. - Motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.
