Senior Project Manager, Transportation
About the role
EXP is currently seeking a talented Senior Project Manager, Transportation for the Southern California market. The ideal candidate will be based in Los Angeles, San Diego, Orange County or San Bernardino and will join the Civil team for Transportation projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage a wide variety and complexity of highway related projects
- Maintain project schedules and manage project financials including profit/loss responsibility and targeted direct margin
- Cook staff required for internal project teams, including directing, coordinating and reviewing work by others
- Perform design computations, oversee report, plan and specification development and sign and seal construction documents as necessary
- Oversee and approve invoicing/billing and manage project scope and secure change orders as necessary
- Work with other senior staff within Infrastructure & Transportation and other practices groups, as necessary, to execute project delivery
- Absorb and assist in the preparation of proposal and presentations for project pursuits
- Develop and maintain client relationships
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science or higher in Engineering. Preferably in civil, transportation or environmental engineering
- 12 plus years of experience
- PE License in the State of California
- In depth knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Strong technical design background in road and highway design and Project Management
- Experience with local City and County agency standards and projects
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Basic knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and MS Project
Qualifications
- Preferably with experience in Southern California
- Experience with local City and County agency standards and projects
- Experience with project management software such as MS Project
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D

EXP offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $175,000 to $225,000, which may vary based on several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
