Senior Project Manager - Substation
About the role
We’re seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a portfolio of complex, multi-year utility projects to support local substation growth. This role will oversee a suite of high-impact initiatives including BPS separation, relay replacements, breaker replacements, and transformer replacements. The ideal candidate has a proven ability to manage large-scale, technically challenging projects and drive successful outcomes across multiple workstreams. This is a high-visibility role offering long-term program ownership and the opportunity to shape critical infrastructure improvements.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive project plans that outline the scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones, and timelines.
- Allocate and coordinate resources, including engineers, technicians, equipment, and materials, to keep the project on track.
- Provide technical guidance and expertise to our engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
- Establish strong communication channels with clients to understand their requirements, provide updates, and address any concerns.
- Monitor project budgets and expenditures to ensure we stay within financial targets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university;
- Previous experience in electrical engineering, project management, or a related role;
- Experience with electrical utilities, electrical system design, installation, and maintenance projects;
- Substation experience required;
- 10 years experience or greater or 5 years’ experience plus PMP;
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Benefits
This position pays between $120,000 and $150,000 annually and is an exempt position. Benefits offered include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plan with company match. HSA or FSA medical accounts and FSA dependent care and transportation/parking accounts are also available. These benefits are subject to employee contribution amounts generally set annually. Full-time employees are eligible to earn PTO hours. May be eligible for discretionary bonus as determined by the company.
Pay
This position pays between $120,000 and $150,000 annually.
Schedule
Full-time schedule.
