Senior Project Manager, Public Works
About the role
The ideal candidate would have 10 or more years of experience in public works, municipal roadway, land development, drainage, detention, water/wastewater utility design, and/or utilities design. The position will be for a Senior Project Manager interested in managing design and construction for a wide range of public and private infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Works closely with the Team Leader in the development and delivery of projects.
- Responsible for managing and overseeing the design and construction of infrastructure projects.
- This position requires strong design and project management experience and knowledge of working with local entities.
- The role will have a large amount of autonomy in managing other professional engineers, engineers-in-training, and CAD designers.
- Maintain and further develop client relationships throughout Oklahoma including multiple cities and counties.
- This position shall value and be active in professional organizations that benefit the Public Works industry.
- Manage design and plan production as well as manage clients and supervise technical staff through workshare opportunities with various practices and offices at Halff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License in Oklahoma, or transferable within 2 months.
- Experience in roadway design, construction sequencing, storm water drainage systems, detention concepts, erosion & sediment control, modeling software, reports, and design.
- Good technical writing and communication skills.
- Experience in project scope development, professional services fee development and staffing projections.
- Experience in producing winning project proposals as lead professional/project manager.
- Strong ability to train and mentor staff.
- Must be proficient in project management, administration, and supervision.
- Able to work in a team environment with multiple offices and various disciplines.
- A positive attitude, self-directed.
- Additional experience in Transportation and/or Land Development preferred.
