Responsibilities
- Provide oversight of multiple heavy civil construction projects including roadway, utilities, stormwater, grading, and site development.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with contract specifications and quality standards.
- Lead project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation efforts.
- Monitor project performance and proactively address risks and challenges.
- Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost control processes.
- Avoid inaccuracies in billing.
- Identify opportunities to improve project profitability.
- Interpret and manage contracts, plans, specifications, and public agency requirements.
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, municipalities, and public agencies.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to support repeat work and future opportunities.
- Participate in progress meetings, presentations, and communications.
- Use PM Software (InEight) to efficiently manage project production and budget
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of heavy civil construction methods, sequencing, and logistics.
- Proficiency in cost control systems and construction management software.
- Deep understanding of public contracts, specifications, and compliance requirements.
- Experience working on public contracts (3 years)
- Experience with creating/managing schedules (3 years)
- Ability to lead multiple teams and complex projects simultaneously
- Proven experience with scheduling software (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
