Overview Kimley-Horn is seeking an entrepreneurial Senior Project Manager, Practice Builder to lead and grow our Building Strucutres practice in Saint Paul, MN. Responsibilities This position will support the growth of the firm in our building structures and/or forensics practices.Define and execute the vision for our Building Structures practice, ensuring sustainable growth and innovation.Apply an entrepreneurial spirit to create a vision for growth in the local Building Structures practice and beyond.Develop and maintain strong client relationships, positioning our firm as a trusted partner in the Building Structures industry.Drive business development efforts, leveraging industry connections to secure new opportunities and expand market presence.Supervise and lead Building Structures design projects, providing technical expertise and strategic oversight.Ensuring quality and timeliness of deliverables, and supervising the execution of work.Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment.Ensure project profitability, resource allocation, and seamless transitions of work to qualified staff.Uphold integrity and sound business principles, driving operational excellence and long-term success.Perform and review structural design calculations, prepare project document submittal packages, and maintain Quality Control for the entire project.Conduct site investigations and structural evaluations while documentmenting field observations and preparing technical reports.Support and participate in meetings and presentations with clients, owners, contractors, and design team members.Contribute to identifying project opportunities through networking with new and existing clients. Qualifications 12+ years of diversified structural engineering experienceRegistered Professional Engineer (P.E.) licenseHistory of providing technical design and planning on a variety of structuresKnowledge in AutoCAD, Revit, and Sketchup with some ability to produce drawings and details, when neededKnowledge and experience in structural analysis and design software, such as STAAD, RAM, E-Tabs, MathCAD, TEDDS, ADAPT PT, and other structural related design softwareExcellent communication, leadership, and technical skillsStrong desire and ability to be engaged with clients solving project problemsAbility to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organizationAbility to manage and mentor staff and direct resources effectively in a positive mannerDemonstrated ability to manage projects profitablyExperience writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgets for projected work Why Kimley-Horn?
