Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the design and construction of infrastructure projects for the Water/Wastewater practice.
  • Support preparation of scopes of work and budgets.
  • Conduct studies, prepare reports, and read/develop construction plans and specifications.
  • Manage and work collaboratively with multi-discipline teams and subconsultants.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to develop project scope, personnel, budgets, schedules.
  • Manage other consultant teams and the workload of design staff including Engineers, EITSs, and technical staff.
  • Support construction administration of projects and lead or assist permitting efforts.
  • Manage design and plan production as well as manage clients and supervise technical staff through workshare opportunities with various practices and offices at Halff.
  • Develop a network of municipal clients and teaming partners.
  • Develop and manage project scope, personnel, budgets, schedules and collaborate with clients and stakeholders.
  • Manage other consultant teams and the workload of design staff including Engineers, EITSs, and technical staff that contribute to the growth and safety of Texas.
  • Report on project progress and budgets.
  • Work with the Water/Wastewater Team Leader and Operations Managers in business development activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in civil engineering or ABET accredited equivalent engineering degree (preferably in civil or environmental engineering).
  • Professional Engineer License (PE) in the State of Arkansas.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in Water/Wastewater treatment, Water Storage, Conveyance and Master Planning is preferred.
  • Must be proficient with conducting studies, preparing reports, and reading/developing construction plans and specifications.
  • Previous experience in coordinating project deliverables, managing project budgets and schedule, and identifying resolution of issues.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, ArcGIS PRO and InfoWater required (Water CAD or Sewer CAD is a plus but not required).

Qualifications

  • Strong design and project management experience and knowledge of working with local entities.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, ArcGIS PRO and InfoWater.
