Senior Project Manager (Nationwide)
About the role
Gilbane is seeking Senior Project Managers for various locations nationwide. This role serves as the on-site Gilbane manager, responsible for the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of a large or complex construction project, or multiple small projects. The position is primarily based on the job site, with occasional travel to the office for trainings and meetings.

Responsibilities
- Develops the project safety plan with corporate safety and provides jobsite leadership.
- Develops project controls and procedures to manage complex project requirements; mitigates high-risk items for contract requirements.
- Manages project financial forecast, notice provisions, and billings to meet contract requirements; takes corrective actions for deviations.
- Creates and manages a project-specific quality plan aligned with the Owner contract and contract documents; assists with execution.
- Creates and manages a closeout plan in alignment with contract documents; assists with execution.
- Provides leadership in motivating the project team and maintains a positive work environment, including direct supervision of work, project administration, superintendents, and engineers.
- Develops the subcontracting strategy; reviews and writes scopes to ensure integrity of the buyout process.
- Implements and enforces all aspects of contracts; creates and leads risk mitigation plans; prepares draft contracts, agreements, and purchase orders.
- Manages enrollment for insurance and bonds and compliance processes for trade contractors.
- Leads the development of the project estimate and manages the project and estimating teams to meet contractual obligations.
- Leads project constructability and coordination reviews.
- Creates CPM schedules for large and/or complex projects; recognizes potential schedule impacts and drafts prevention/mitigation plans.
- Develops a basic understanding of local market areas and profiles to create and lead a networking strategy.
- Collaborates with business development to integrate sales strategies, including performance metrics on assigned projects, pursuits, and client deliverables.
- Actively participates in opportunities to strengthen client, partner, and industry relationships, positioning Gilbane as the “Builder of Choice.”
- Responsible for the career development and coaching of team members.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
- 8-12 years of experience.
- Experience in Health Care, Advanced Manufacturing Science and Technology, Life Science, K-12, or Higher Education preferred.
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay
The pay range for this role is $132,300 - $232,800, based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and experience, as well as internal equity and alignment with the team.
