Senior Project Manager - Mission Critical/ Data Center - Michels Underground Cable, Inc

About the role

As a Senior Project Manager, you will manage a phase of a large complex project or oversee multiple large-sized projects. This role is accountable for all aspects of project success, from the initial proposal/bidding process to meeting or exceeding client expectations and ensuring profitable completion, with a strong emphasis on safety performance. You will support data center and mission-critical projects, focusing on medium voltage (MV) duct banks, substation feeds, underground transmission, and campus distribution systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of large or multiple large-sized projects, ensuring successful and profitable completion.
• Oversee the proposal and bidding process to secure projects.
• Ensure projects meet or exceed client expectations while maintaining a strong focus on safety performance.
• Support data center and mission-critical projects, including medium voltage (MV) duct banks, substation feeds, underground transmission, and campus distribution systems.
• Collaborate with teams and make quick, effective decisions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience working on medium voltage (MV) duct banks, substation feeds, underground transmission, or campus distribution systems for data centers.
• Proficiency with Project Management software (Primavera, HCSS, etc.).
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record as determined by the Michels Review Team.
• Ability to travel and commit to long-term on-site projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (desired).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, goal-oriented, and professional demeanor.
• Ability to work well in teams and thrive in a collaborative environment.
