Senior Project Manager - Mission Critical (Civil/Sitework)
About the role
This individual is primarily responsible for managing Project Team to meet goals, budgets and highest customer satisfaction. Heavy emphasis of civil / site work for master planning and coordination on a multi-building campus with complex on-site and offsite utility infrastructure and earth moving.
Responsibilities
- Develop contacts and quickly builds relationships with potential customers.
- Effectively negotiates business and legal provisions of construction contracts.
- Consistently achieves high levels of quality, design and profitability on projects assigned to the team.
- Assure the team’s accounts receivables are managed effectively and collected promptly.
- Assure that general team administrative responsibilities are carried out promptly and accurately.
- Participate or lead owner/client presentations and negotiations.
- Oversee design development, budget preparation and development of project schedules.
- Supervise team of Project Engineers, Sr. Project Engineers, Project Managers I & II, and Project Assistants, as required, depending on assigned project(s).
- Coincide with other project team leaders in a multi-building campus environment, aligning schedules, logistics, and scope.
- Play a key role in developing procurement strategy including preparing bid documents, negotiating and awarding subcontracts.
- Assure the team’s warranty issues are resolved promptly and effectively.
Requirements
- To be successful in this role, you must have a bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering/Management and 7-10+ years of proven experience, preferably in Civil-heavy large projects and/or the Mission Critical industry.
- Project management with contract values from $50-$300M+
- Advanced knowledge of construction means and methods, building types, estimating, scheduling, cost control, material pricing and design management is required.
- You must also be able and willing to travel for projects.
Qualifications
- Proven knowledge of complex earthwork, ground improvement, utility infrastructure and mass excavation projects.
- An established thorough understanding of early turnover dates and mission critical commissioning processes.
- History of successfully coordinating multi-building campus work balancing site completion and logistics needs to proactively solve issues.
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft Office, Procore, P6, and other management tools.
- Communicate proactively and effectively, focus on customers, and display a high level of professionalism, honesty, and integrity.
Skills
- Knowledge of construction means and methods, building types, estimating, scheduling, cost control, material pricing and design management.
- Ability to manage accounts receivables and collect promptly.
- Ability to supervise and coordinate teams.
- Experience in developing procurement strategies and managing subcontractors.
- Ability to resolve warranty issues promptly and effectively.

Pay
The salary range is $140,000 - $180,000. The salary base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission and/or an incentive program.
Schedule
Position may require some travel for projects.
