Senior Project Manager (Civil/Site Design)

About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to join our growing Civil/Site Design team in Richmond, VA. The ideal candidate will have experience in site design, stormwater management, grading, drainage, and utility design. This position offers the opportunity to partner with and learn from industry-leading engineers, project managers, and technical staff.
Responsibilities
- Oversee a team of two to four engineers and CAD designers.
- Lead Civil Engineering project aspects, including studies, reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates, while participating in client meetings.
- Manage projects involving planning, modeling, and design of facilities such as public and private sites, including site layout, utilities, grading, drainage, erosion control, and stormwater management.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Provide project management for various-sized projects to ensure successful outcomes for clients, the company, and staff, while adhering to budgets and schedules.
- Execute engineering best practices for civil engineering projects across diverse clients, adapting quickly to new environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience in engineering, with at least 4 years in project management focused on civil engineering project delivery.
- Professional Engineering License in Virginia or the ability to obtain it within three months.
- Proven track record of project delivery through planning, preliminary, and final design, with a strong commitment to superior client service.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team of engineers and designers.

Pay
Salary range: USD $120,000.00 – USD $149,344.00 per year. Compensation may vary based on experience, education, skill level, and geographical location.
Eligibility for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program, contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators.
