Senior Project Manager - Life Science Buildings

About the role

The onsite Program Management team in Baltimore, MD is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager for Interiors. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the growth of one of the busiest hospitals in the world as part of the owner’s representative program management team.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and develop reports, meeting minutes, correspondence, project awards, invoices, and assist with the development and management of project budgets, schedules, project controls, and on-site management of Construction Managers as needed.
• Provide effective project management to help reduce the costs of delivering projects and add value to the client by applying proven project management techniques.
• Multi-task, communicate effectively, and tackle project challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Architecture discipline, Construction Management or Architecture
• 10-15 years of experience working on large building construction projects, with 5+ years experience in interior construction consulting
• Solid knowledge of interior fit out, interior finishes, lab casework, lab equipment coordination, high profile public places, entrance lobbies, building artwork, building materials, and field investigation methods
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a critical fast-paced environment
• Strong construction contract knowledge and ability to mitigate risk
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, and online project management systems such as ACC Build, E-Builder, Procore, or PM Web
• Experience with construction project documentation, budgeting, invoicing, RFIs/submittals, change order review and negotiation, scheduling
• Experience working on donor funded projects with high level finishes in public spaces
• Experience with building turnover, activation, and transition services
• Experience with design coordination, procurement, and installation of Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FF&E) from multiple vendors
• Experience with large building construction projects over 500,000 GSF
• Experience with complex laboratory research equipment and the integration of Owner Furnished Owner Installed (OFOI), Owner Furnished Contractor Installed (OFCI), and Contractor Furnished Contractor Installed (CFCI) equipment
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities with proficiency in turning data into strategic insights that help our team make informed decisions
• Experience working as an Owner’s Representative on large projects with complex teams

• Internal drive and ambition to enhance project management skills, support the team, and deliver successful outcomes to our clients

Skills

• Professional Engineering (PE), Registered Architect, and/or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credentials

Pay

$150,000.00 to $200,000.00
