Senior Project Manager – IT

Location: Houston, TX (onsite, local candidates only)

About the Role

The Senior Project Manager will lead, oversee, and ensure the successful delivery of enterprise IT projects within the Public Safety domain (e.g., Law Enforcement Mobile Device Terminal replacement, CAD/RMS systems). This role requires managing projects within scope, quality, time, and cost constraints while adapting to dynamic business needs.

Responsibilities

• Organize, execute, and complete IT projects in the Public Safety domain.
• Manage project teams, set deadlines, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Report project status and progress to leadership.
• Adapt to changing environments and business needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible IT experience.
• 5+ years of experience managing complex IT projects.
• Experience working with business units and a strong commitment to problem-solving.
• Proven leadership and soft skills in diverse team environments.

Skills

• Strong blend of business, IT, financial, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies (PMI, PRINCE2, Agile).
• Proficiency with project planning tools (Microsoft Project, Planview, ServiceNow, etc.).
• Exceptional communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
• Strong customer focus and ability to build trust.
