Oversee the overall management—plans, budgets, schedules, safety, people, and profit—of multiple construction projects, multi-phased projects, or large complex projects to deliver them on-time and within company profit guidelines. Manage at least $8–$15 million in projects annually and direct daily operations from preconstruction through closeout. Create and maintain detailed construction schedules, project documents, and budgets; implement team strategies aligned with company goals. Develop and sustain client, design-team, and industry-partner relationships to build a stable and growing backlog. Lead and mentor project coordinators, project engineers, assistant project managers, and project managers.
Responsibilities

- Handle construction planning, estimating, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Manage multiple team members, including PCs, PEs, APMs, and PMs.
- Facilitate training and mentoring of team members.

- Offer value-engineering options to benefit client project goals.
- Analyze and evaluate subcontractor/vendor proposals for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare well-documented, comprehensive client proposals.
- Create, develop, and maintain detailed construction schedules incorporating team input.
- Perform regular site walk-throughs to ensure contract performance, safety compliance, and quality control.
- Resolve project conflicts in a timely and professional manner.
- Oversee and coordinate construction field staff with the project superintendent/field manager.
- Ensure timely permit completion and compliance with all local authorities and jurisdictions.
- Adhere to all quality, health, and safety standards; report issues promptly.
- Oversee accounting duties: invoicing, collections, AP invoice approvals, contract issuance, and quarterly reporting (WIP, projections, etc.) using company-sanctioned processes and software.
- Maintain focus on activities critical for profitable growth.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of commercial construction project management experience, with a strong preference for healthcare construction experience.
- Proven experience managing healthcare projects in occupied facilities, including renovations, infrastructure upgrades, phased construction, and projects requiring coordination around ongoing patient care operations.
- Strong understanding of healthcare construction requirements: Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA), Interim Life Safety Measures (ILSM), facility protocols, and regulatory compliance standards.
- Demonstrated experience leading projects through all phases: preconstruction, estimating, budgeting, scheduling, construction, and closeout.
- Strong background in cost modeling, conceptual estimating, GMP development, scope validation, and budget management.
- Comprehensive understanding of building systems: architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection (MEPFP).
- OSHA safety training with experience implementing safety practices in complex healthcare environments.
- Ability to manage complex projects while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, schedule, and operational continuity.
- Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills with healthcare owners, facility teams, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
- Proficiency with construction scheduling, estimating, and project management software platforms.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, collaborative, and solutions-oriented with the ability to proactively identify and resolve project challenges.
