About the role
As a Senior Project Manager at JLL, you will hold a critical position within our Regional Project Team, leading and delivering challenging projects for a financial services client. You will utilize your expertise to oversee Corporate Interior projects ranging in size from $1M to $100M+, ensuring successful delivery through all phases.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all aspects of projects, including strategy, programming, design, schedule, entitlements, bidding, procurement, permitting, execution, and close out.
- Develop high-level estimates and schedules as part of the overall strategy and business case.
- Prepare project updates, identifying and communicating risks early, while providing solutions to meet client-driven schedule and budget.
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Act as the primary contact with the client throughout the project duration, from programming through construction close out.
- Develop Master Project schedules and manage project performance against schedules, scheduled milestones, and critical path items on multiple projects.
- Develop a detailed project budget based on historical and market data and clearly defined budget assumptions.
- Guide the client and team through the design implementation process, including conceptual, schematic, design development, construction documentation, and signoff.
- Facilitate initiation of all critical project meetings and coordination exercises with internal staff, key stakeholders, and external users.
- Prepare RFPs for design and contractor services and manage the overall vendor selection process.
- Read construction plans efficiently, identifying potential areas of concern or hidden costs prior to GC contract execution.
Requirements
- 7-15 years of experience in project management, preferably in Corporate Interiors.
- Experience managing multiple diverse types of Corporate Interiors projects, varying from $5M to $50M+ in size.
- Ability to manage 8-12 projects at a time.
- Firm knowledge of construction, architecture, or commercial real estate industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from inception to completion.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage and follow through on complex procedural requirements with experience working within formalized systems and a methodical approach to work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field: Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, etc.
- Experience managing complex high-end/high-touch Corporate Interior projects.
- Experience with Corporate Interior projects ranging in size from $1M to $100M+.
- Understanding of strategy, programming, design, entitlements, bidding, procurement, and permitting processes.
- Experience with due diligence efforts and coordination on behalf of internal teams, project partners, clients, and/or end users.
- Knowledge of project management strategies and methodologies development and implementation.
- Experience leveraging innovative ways of working to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Understanding of client procedural requirements and protocols adherence.
- Experience with vendor selection process management and RFP preparation.
Schedule
Onsite 5 days a week.
