About the role

The Senior Project Manager plans, organizes, directs, and controls project-planning and performance activities for effective management of electronic security installation projects. This includes all aspects of systems scheduling, field installation, commissioning, and financial success. The role is responsible for overall project budget management, project surveys, material procurement, project implementation, and inspection scheduling. The Senior Project Manager must execute projects on time and within budget through effective communication, preparation, and management of multiple projects varying in size and complexity.

Responsibilities

• Maintain active and thoughtful communication with vendors and internal/external customers while balancing time versus profits to ensure efforts reflect and anticipate return (revenue, growth, and customer retention).
• Consistently and effectively determine, allocate, and maximize available resources through project planning to achieve sales and project management objectives.
• Establish and maintain in-depth knowledge of the industry and competitive practices as they relate to multiple markets.
• Implement changes in project, contract price, and installation plans, including estimation, development, and submission of Change Orders.
• Support the company’s invoicing and collection efforts by ensuring all contractual terms are met and invoicing is completed accurately and on time. Monitor reports in the ERP system and follow up with customers consistently.
• Manage project budget and project P&L responsibility.
• Prepare the project installation plan, manage the plans, and implement job procedures.
• Maintain construction schedules and coordinate task-scheduling with other trades.
• Maintain all records of job status, job changes, and material flow.
• Define project problems by working with financial, contract management, and management tools to ensure project profitability.
• Plan and schedule engineering, installation, and subcontracting activities on large and/or complex systems.
• Supervise installation labor and subcontractors.
• Prioritize team workload to ensure quality results are delivered on time and within budget.
• Troubleshoot project issues and engage appropriate management and resources as needed.
• Develop fallback and contingency plans.

Requirements

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Factory certifications in relevant technology platforms is a plus (Software House, Lenel, Brivo, Open Options, Exacq, American Dynamics, Milestone, OnSSI, etc.).
• Must possess one or more of the following:
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in the electronic security industry.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of related low-voltage field experience.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, and SharePoint).
• Ability to work independently and perform tasks of moderate to high complexity, requiring knowledge of technical and business environments.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external customers.
• Superb verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent follow-up and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical decision-making capabilities.
• Self-motivated with the ability to motivate and influence others.
• Must be able to manage multiple tasks while meeting strict deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of PM techniques and tools, general knowledge of contract laws and regulations.
• Associate’s Degree in Business, Technology, or related field.
• PMP certification from the Project Management Institute.
• Six (6) years of project management experience, with electronic security industry experience.
• Five (5) years of experience in the electronic security industry.

Benefits

• Salary range: $110,000 - $130,000 annual.

• Vacation time accrued at 3.08 hours biweekly. Unused vacation is only paid out where required by law.
