About the role

GHD is seeking a Senior Project Engineer – Water Treatment to join our team based in either our Phoenix, AZ, Irvine, or CA office. This position offers a variety of work and involves:

Responsibilities

Provide design guidelines, technical oversight, project engineering and management services, client management and business development relating to Water and Wastewater projects. Lead a dedicated team in sophisticated and innovative projects, support in the training and mentorship of engineers and other technicians, and become part of our regional leadership team.

Perform engineering duties in planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of building structures, and facilities, such as roads, railroads, airports, bridges, harbors, channels, dams, irrigation projects, pipelines, power plants, and water and sewage systems.

Requirements

Experience: 10+ years of experience in the Water/Wastewater treatment design with emphasis on upgrades of Water/Wastewater treatment. Valid CA or AZ Professional Engineering license is preferred, or a Professional Engineering license in another state with the ability to obtain a AZ license within one year preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in civil, Environmental, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited university. Master’s degree in civil, Environmental, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering is preferred.

Skills

Knowledge of technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media. Ability to carry out inspections to evaluate the quality of engineering works and/or the integrity of existing installations or structures, and specify the remedial works needed to ensure conformance with specifications and regulatory requirements. Ability to identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures, and use established change management programs to address them.

Benefits
