Senior Project Engineer - Mission Critical

Ryan Companies US, Inc. has an exciting career opportunity for a Sr. Project Engineer to join our National Mission Critical team!
About the Role
This role is the critical link between the on-site construction team and the project management leadership. The Senior Project Engineer will take ownership of key project administration tasks and manage specific phases of the construction process with increasing autonomy.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager in the overall administration of the project, from pre-construction to closeout.
- Take a lead role in managing project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and meeting minutes.
- Help prepare and maintain project status reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Aid in preparing and controlling the project budget by actively tracking job costs and labor productivity.
- Participate in the subcontractor buyout and negotiation process.
- Process and track change orders, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
- Serve as a key point of contact for subcontractors, architects, and engineers to resolve day-to-day technical issues.
- Assist the Superintendent in developing and managing the project schedule to ensure milestones are met.
- Participate in and help lead jobsite coordination meetings, contributing to problem-solving and planning.
- Champion Ryan’s "Safety First" culture and assist in ensuring the highest standards of quality control.
- Take the lead in managing the project punch list process to ensure a timely and successful completion.
- Assist in the compilation of all final closeout documentation, including as-built drawings and O&M manuals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Project Engineer in the commercial construction industry.
- A passion for learning about technically complex projects is essential.
- A strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project management fundamentals.
- Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore and Building Connected.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- A proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-focused mindset with the ambition to grow into a Project Manager role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the mission-critical sector (e.g., data centers, healthcare, advanced manufacturing).
- Experience with scheduling software such as P6.

Pay
The salary range is $85,000 - $100,000. The salary base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission and/or an incentive program.
