Senior Project Engineer - Mission Critical
Job Summary
Ryan Companies US, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join their National Mission Critical team. This role is crucial for bridging the gap between the on-site construction team and project management leadership.
About the Role
This position is a direct pathway to a Project Manager role, offering opportunities to develop project management skills on large-scale, technically complex projects.
Responsibilities
- Project Management Support: Assist the Project Manager in project administration, manage project documentation, prepare status reports, and prepare bid documents.
- Financial & Contract Administration: Control project budgets, prepare detailed bid documents, negotiate subcontractor buyouts, process change orders, and track documentation accuracy.
- On-Site Coordination & Execution: Serve as a key point of contact for subcontractors, architects, and engineers, assist in developing and managing schedules, and participate in jobsite coordination meetings.
- Project Closeout: Manage punch list processes, compile final closeout documentation, and assist in creating as-built drawings and operation and maintenance manuals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Project Engineer in the commercial construction industry.
- A strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project management fundamentals.
- Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore and Building Connected.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- A proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-focused mindset with the ambition to grow into a Project Manager role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the mission-critical sector (e.g., data centers, healthcare, advanced manufacturing).
- Experience with scheduling software such as P6.

Pay
The salary range is $85,000 - $100,000. The salary base rate may vary based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities.
