Job Summary

Ryan Companies US, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join their National Mission Critical team. This role is a direct career path to a Project Manager role.

Project Management Support

  • Aid the Project Manager in project administration from pre-construction to closeout.
  • Manage project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and meeting minutes.
  • Prepare and maintain project status reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Financial & Contract Administration

  • Assist in preparing and controlling the project budget by tracking job costs and labor productivity.
  • Help prepare detailed bid documents and participate in subcontractor buyout and negotiation processes.
  • Process and track change orders, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.

On-Site Coordination & Execution

  • Serve as a key point of contact for subcontractors, architects, and engineers to resolve technical issues.
  • Assist the Superintendent in developing and managing the project schedule to meet milestones.
  • Participate in and lead jobsite coordination meetings, contributing to problem-solving and planning.
  • Champion Ryan's "Safety First" culture and ensure high standards of quality control.

Project Closeout

  • Take the lead in managing the project punch list process to ensure timely completion.
  • Compile final closeout documentation, including as-built drawings and O&M manuals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Project Engineer in the commercial construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project management fundamentals.
  • Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore and Building Connected.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-focused mindset with the ambition to grow into a Project Manager role.

Desired Qualities

  • Experience in the mission-critical sector (e.g., data centers, healthcare, advanced manufacturing).
  • Experience with scheduling software such as P6.

Compensation

The salary range is $85,000 - $100,000. The salary base rate may vary based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission and/or an incentive program.
