Senior Project Engineer - Investigative
About the role
Martin/Martin is seeking a senior-level engineer to join our rapidly growing Investigative Engineering Group in our Atlanta, Georgia office.
We specialize in developing and managing engineering services for the renovation, restoration, retrofit, and repair of existing structures. We support a broad range of projects including structural repairs, façade and access systems, building envelope assessments, non-destructive testing, and expert witness work.
Martin/Martin has been based in Denver for more than 81 years. In this position, you will play a key role in our national expansion across the Georgia region, helping establish and strengthen our presence in new markets.
Responsibilities
- Assists in conceptual design.
- Assists in fee determination and proposal preparation.
- Establishes a QA/QC plan for each project.
- Acts as a mentor for younger engineers and assists with their career development.
- Attends project meetings and represents Martin/Martin, Inc. during design and construction.
- Follows up on collection of account receivables.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited engineering curriculum.
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
- Completed a minimum of 9 years progressive engineering experience
- Must be eligible to work for any employer in the United States, without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- Ability to work in the Atlanta area. Relocation reimbursement may be provided, depending on the role and job function.

Working Conditions, Skills, and Abilities
- This position is primarily technical in nature and requires working inside and outside the office to complete a wide range of activities.
- The following abilities are required:
- Move inside or outside the office and on non-ADA accessible construction sites
- Remain stationary for long periods of time
- Repetitive movement on tasks such as using a keyboard or mouse
- Carry, ascend, and descend a ladder
- Identify color
- Read, communicate, and document in English
- Determine and exchange accurate information
- Occasionally move or hold equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Positions self in atypical environments and small, confined spaces
Compensation
- Base Salary
- Base Salary Review: This role is eligible to participate in Martin/Martin’s annual base salary increase review process.
- Anual Bonus: This role is eligible to participate in a discretionary annual bonus program.
- Base salary review and increases, in addition to annual bonuses, are dependent on various factors, including a hired individual’s job-level and annual company performance.
