Senior Project Engineer - Construction Engineering Services - Structural

About the role

Martin/Martin, Inc. is looking for an experienced structural engineer to join the Construction Engineering Services group in our Atlanta, Georgia office.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients and contractors as primary point of contact throughout the project life cycle.
• Manage and collaborate with engineering and technician staff to produce high-quality projects.
• Act as a mentor and resource for less experienced staff regarding design techniques, software, and code questions.
• Develop, monitor, and manage project work plans, schedules, and design budgets.
• Uphold quality control by checking calculations, drawings and other documents.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited engineering curriculum.
• Proven experience in structural engineering, including structural steel design.
• Must be eligible to work for any employer in the United States, without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Ability to work in the Atlanta area. Relocation reimbursement may be provided, depending on the role and job function.
• Holds a Professional Engineering license in at least one state.
• Minimum of 9 years of progressive engineering experience.
• Experience in relevant specialty work, including connection design, erection engineering, misc metals design, crane design, etc. (Desired)

• Past the 16-hour structural engineering exam (Desired)

Skills and Abilities

• Move inside or outside the office and on non-ADA accessible construction sites
• Remain stationary for long periods of time
• Repetitive movement on tasks such as using a keyboard or mouse
• Carry, ascend, and descend a ladder
• Identify color
• Read, communicate, and document in English
• Determine and exchange accurate information
• Occasionally move or hold equipment weighing up to 50 pounds

• Base Salary
• Base Salary Review: This role is eligible to participate in Martin/Martin’s annual base salary increase review process.
• Annual Bonus: This role is eligible to participate in a discretionary annual bonus program.
