About the role
Martin/Martin, Inc. is looking for an experienced structural engineer to join the Construction Engineering Services group in our Atlanta, Georgia office.
Responsibilities
- Engage with clients and contractors as primary point of contact throughout the project life cycle.
- Manage and collaborate with engineering and technician staff to produce high-quality projects.
- Act as a mentor and resource for less experienced staff regarding design techniques, software, and code questions.
- Develop, monitor, and manage project work plans, schedules, and design budgets.
- Uphold quality control by checking calculations, drawings and other documents.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited engineering curriculum.
- Proven experience in structural engineering, including structural steel design.
- Must be eligible to work for any employer in the United States, without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- Ability to work in the Atlanta area. Relocation reimbursement may be provided, depending on the role and job function.
- Holds a Professional Engineering license in at least one state.
- Minimum of 9 years of progressive engineering experience.
- Experience in relevant specialty work, including connection design, erection engineering, misc metals design, crane design, etc. (Desired)

- Participating member of at least one professional and/or technical society (Desired)
- Improves production tools for the betterment of the company (Desired)

- Past the 16-hour structural engineering exam (Desired)
Skills and Abilities
- Move inside or outside the office and on non-ADA accessible construction sites
- Remain stationary for long periods of time
- Repetitive movement on tasks such as using a keyboard or mouse
- Carry, ascend, and descend a ladder
- Identify color
- Read, communicate, and document in English
- Determine and exchange accurate information
- Occasionally move or hold equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
Compensation
- Base Salary
- Base Salary Review: This role is eligible to participate in Martin/Martin’s annual base salary increase review process.
- Annual Bonus: This role is eligible to participate in a discretionary annual bonus program.
