Structural Senior Project Engineer

About the role

The Senior Project Engineer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing small to mid-size projects. They will supervise engineering tasks of Design Engineers, complete project-specific detailing, create building analysis models using RAM or RISA, assist the Senior Project Manager or Principal with client and staff management on large projects, coordinate Construction Administration services with the Project Manager, independently conduct site visits, and prepare field observation reports. They will also review and approve invoices.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and direct small to mid-size projects.
• Supervise engineering tasks of Design Engineers.
• Complete project-specific detailing.
• Create building analysis models using RAM or RISA.
• Affiliate with Senior Project Manager or Principal on large projects.
• Cook up Construction Administration services with Project Manager.
• Conduct site visits and prepare field observation reports.
• Review and approve invoices.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain Colorado PE License within six months of hire.
• Have the required combination of education and engineering experience to be able to obtain a Colorado civil PE license within six months of hire.
• Design and detail composite steel structural systems with reinforced concrete foundations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Successfully work within a team environment.
• Prioritize and Pivot to produce high quality results while balancing multiple projects and deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Masonry experience: Ability to design and detail CMU bearing and shear walls.
• Software Utilization: Ability to produce structural plans and details in REVIT.
• Experience creating structural building models in RISA or RAM.
• Self-motivated to think ahead and proactively solve problems.

$94,000 - $122,000
