Senior Project Architect

Responsibilities
- Develop, evaluate, and present design and technical options for consideration by principals, teammates, consultants, clients, and agency stakeholders.
- Lead or support Revit-based documentation, consultant coordination, technical detailing, and interdisciplinary model coordination.
- Apply strong knowledge of building systems, Type I construction, construction detailing, building codes, accessibility requirements, zoning, agency standards, and referenced regulations.
- Support code analysis, agency review processes, and coordination with local and regional authorities having jurisdiction.
- Participate in owner, client, consultant, and agency meetings, representing Perkins Eastman with professionalism, clarity, and sound judgment.
- Coordinate with designers, project managers, consultants, and technical staff to advance high-quality project delivery.
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and day-to-day leadership to junior staff.
- Support quality control, technical review, drawing coordination, and project delivery standards.
- Contribute to a collaborative studio culture focused on design excellence, technical rigor, client service, and successful project delivery.
Requirements
- Min 8-10 years of experience.
- Licensed Architect, California preferred.
- Experience managing or helping to lead complex public sector projects with a focus on civic, transit, transportation, and infrastructure.
- Meaningful experience with Type I construction is preferred.
- Advance design and technical solutions through all phases.
- Responsible for applicable regional agency reviews and building code analysis.
- Revit fluency required with working proficiency in Rhino, Grasshopper, and related modeling and visualization tools.
- Strong quality control and technical review skills.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in architecture.
- Licensed Architect, preferred in California.
- Experience in managing or leading complex public sector projects, particularly in civic, transit, transportation, and infrastructure.
- Significant experience with Type I construction.
- Ability to develop and advance design and technical solutions through all phases of a project.
- Knowledge of applicable regional agency reviews and building code analysis.
- Proficiency in Revit and other modeling and visualization tools.
- Strong quality control and technical review skills.

Salary Range: $135k to $150k
Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographical work location.
