Responsibilities

  • Ultimately responsible for the accurate monthly costing and accounting of project related financial data
  • Understanding all financial aspects of a project while working together with the project teams to ensure maximum profit with minimum risk
  • Involvement in the monthly requisitioning process
  • Cost reporting and analysis (ACR’s)
  • Receivables management
  • Disbursements management / policy
  • Sales and Use tax compliance
  • Project status report submission

Requirements

  • 5+ years of accounting experience
  • 2+ years of experience with job costing methodologies and software to accurately track and allocate project costs, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead expenses
  • 2+ years experience reviewing project contracts, identifying key financial terms and obligations, and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements throughout the project lifecycle
  • 2+ years experience reviewing data on the Subcontractors Estimate For Payment (EFP) against the Subcontract Status Report, Subcontractors AIA and ACR
  • Thorough understanding of General Accepted Accounting Practices and cost accounting
  • Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products and JD Edwards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree – Accounting or 8 years equivalent experience plus minimum 5 years prior relevant experience
  • Qualified candidates, excluding current Skanska employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States
