Senior Project Accountant

Responsibilities
- Ultimately responsible for the accurate monthly costing and accounting of project related financial data
- Understanding all financial aspects of a project while working together with the project teams to ensure maximum profit with minimum risk
- Monthly requisitioning process
- Cost reporting and analysis (ACR’s)
- Receivables management
- Disbursements management / policy
- Sales and Use tax compliance
- Project status report submission
Requirements
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- 2+ years of experience with job costing methodologies and software to accurately track and allocate project costs, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead expenses
- 2+ years experience reviewing project contracts, identifying key financial terms and obligations, and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements throughout the project lifecycle
- 2+ years experience reviewing data on the Subcontractors Estimate For Payment (EFP) against the Subcontract Status Report, Subcontractors AIA and ACR
- Thorough understanding of General Accepted Accounting Practices and cost accounting
- Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products and JD Edwards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree – Accounting or 8 years equivalent experience plus minimum 5 years prior relevant experience

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and JD Edwards
