Senior Program Manager, Global Entity Expansion and Restructure
This role sits within the Global Entity Expansion and Restructure team, Amazon’s centralized accounting function responsible for program management of legal-entity formation, restructure, and closure. The team establishes processes and standards for diligence, document preparation, and leadership approval of corporate projects, collaborating with global stakeholders across Businesses, Tax, Legal, FinOps, Treasury, HR, and Accounting to ensure controllership, consistency, and visibility.
About the role
As a program manager, you will act as an advisor to business teams and own the transaction-approval work-stream for director review. You will support global entity formation and restructure projects across diverse business teams, working with cross-department leaders and functional accounting teams to ensure a seamless process from proposal through approval and financial-system setup. The role demands managing ambiguity, complexity, and multiple simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Work independently to lead projects supporting Amazon’s corporate structure, ensuring appropriate business support and controllership.
- Deliver complex, cross-functional projects while prioritizing work for global project teams and monitoring transactions to maintain standards.
- Identify and communicate project risks to senior leadership, providing clear recommendations for resolution or mitigation.
- Manage risks across disparate business functions, driving mitigation and resolution.
- Build relationships across multiple Amazon teams to foster collaboration and productivity.
- Influence strategic decisions and communicate with senior leadership both within and outside Accounting on global business launches.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in finance or a related analytical field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA certification.
- Knowledge of internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO) to assess control design and operational efficiency.
- Familiarity with GAAP research tools and the FASB codification.
- Experience in accounting management at a Big Four firm with Fortune 500 clients.
- Experience researching and documenting support for accounting conclusions.
Skills
- Excellent communication and organization skills, including the ability to anticipate, identify, and communicate risks to senior leadership.
- Strong project management, financial processes, accounting conclusion documentation, and process design experience.

- USA, CA, Culver City: $95,400 – $163,200 annually
- USA, MA, North Reading: $95,400 – $163,200 annually

- USA, TN, Nashville: $85,900 – $146,900 annually
- USA, TX, Austin: $95,400 – $163,200 annually
