Nakupuna Prime is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead a team of consultants providing professional services to Office of the Secretary of War (OSW) customers. This role supports the administration and oversight of dynamic, broadly dispersed teams delivering professional, business operations, and administrative support in a high-visibility federal environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the senior program manager responsible for overall service delivery of the IDIQ and all awarded task orders.
- Lead and motivate a cross-functional management team of project managers to ensure effective collaboration, clear communication, and a shared understanding of project roles and responsibilities.
- Manage contract requirements of the Performance Work Statement (PWS), including responsibility for contract deliverables.
- Act as the primary point of contact for government customer leadership, contracting officer, contracting officer’s representative, and technical points of contact.
- Identify potential risks and challenges during the program's lifecycle and develop mitigation plans and contingency strategies.
- Support deliverable development and project implementation across functional areas and client offices.
- Prepare executive-level briefings, dashboards, reports, and responses to Government data calls.
- Provide proactive status updates, progress reports, and address concerns or inquiries.
- Engage with key stakeholders, clients, team members, and partners through consistent and proactive communication.
- Ensure compliance with the Quality Control Plan (QCP), Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP), and security, ethics, and training requirements.
- Execute all financial aspects of assigned projects, ensuring adherence to allocated budgets and compliance with financial regulations, including budget development, monitoring, variance management, and forecasting.
- Manage cost, schedule, staffing, quality, and performance across multiple task orders.
- Serve as primary supervisor to the team, including hiring processes, timesheet approvals, and performance reviews.
Requirements
- Experience managing large teams (100+ employees) across multiple duty locations and schedules, including recruiting, hiring, training, and performance management.
- Experience directing staff, tasking activities, and supervising technical and administrative personnel.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, impeccable character, and ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Experience collaborating with clients to coordinate activities, negotiate tasks, and solve problems.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with diverse stakeholders and devise innovative solutions for customer challenges.
- Self-motivated, exceptional organizational and time management skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Willingness to take action to overcome challenges and improve results.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration, Management, or related field.
- Minimum of ten years of program management experience supporting Department of War (DoW) contracts.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and OSW or headquarters organization experience highly desired.
- Active Top Secret clearance (required for continued employment).
- U.S. citizenship required.
Location
Work is performed on-site in Arlington, Virginia (National Capital Region) and other government locations as authorized.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
- Travel as required.
- Ability to communicate effectively and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions with hands, wrists, and fingers.
- Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations.
Pay
The projected compensation range for this position is $140,000 to $155,000 (annualized USD). Salary is one component of Nakupuna Companies' total compensation package.
