About the role
Mappedin is the platform for digital indoor mapping. The company transforms building floor plans and spatial data into dynamic digital maps that power navigation, operations, analytics, and safety across complex environments. Mappedin's platform has mapped more than 10 billion square feet of indoor space across 86 countries, supporting destinations including Simon Property Group malls, Los Angeles International Airport, Major League Baseball stadiums, and Hudson Yards.
Responsibilities
- Program Ownership & Implementation Coverage. Serve as the single accountable owner for assigned complex customer programs from kickoff through go-live and into early operation — owning scope, schedule, risk, and the customer relationship at the program level. In parallel, ensure PM coverage extends across all signed contracts, stepping in to backstop standard implementations that lack a dedicated owner so nothing runs unmanaged. Hold the line on delivery while keeping customers informed, aligned, and confident.
- Cordination Across FDE and Implementation Workstreams. Sequence and orchestrate work across FDE-led technical workstreams (build, train, leave-behind), Implementation Project Manager-led configuration and deployment, engineering dependencies, and customer-side teams. The seam between FDE work and standard implementation is the role's job — including the gray zone where "customization" is really an implementation detail rather than a net-new product. Ensure nothing falls between the two.
- AI-Assisted Building. Use AI tools to build apps, prototypes, and integrations directly — not just coordinate others who do. Stand up a proof-of-concept platform app, unblock a stalled workstream with a working prototype, or accelerate an FDE deliverable when speed matters. This is a force multiplier on the role: the program leader who can also produce working artifacts with AI tooling closes gaps that would otherwise wait on engineering capacity. Comfort moving from a customer requirement to a functioning AI-built app is a core expectation, not a nice-to-have.
- Technical Fluency at the Program Level. Hold substantive conversations with FDEs, engineering, and the customer's technical teams. Understand integration architectures, data flows, platform app patterns, and deployment stages deeply enough to identify risk, sequence dependencies, and translate technical reality into program-level decisions. Expected to make FDE work succeed inside the program — and, where AI tooling allows, to jump in and build rather than wait — while recognizing when a workstream is a one-off POC vs. a repeatable, productizable pattern.
- Customer Relationship & Stakeholder Management. Run the customer relationship for owned programs — executive sponsors, day-to-day stakeholders, technical counterparts. Manage expectations, surface and resolve issues early, and build the trust that carries the program through the inevitable hard moments of a complex implementation.
- Handoff to Customer Success. Drive a clean, well-documented handoff to Customer Success at the right moment — typically after stable operation post go-live. Ensure the CSM inherits a customer with context intact, success criteria defined, and adoption trajectory established.
- Practice & Routing Development. This is a new role at Mappedin. Document the program management approach, codify what makes implementations succeed, and define the routing rules for which signed contracts the SPM owns directly, which run through standard implementation, and which are FDE-led — so that every signed contract has appropriate PM coverage as the function scales.
