You will operate as a force multiplier for the business, aligning executive vision with disciplined execution, driving clarity across stakeholders, and ensuring measurable outcomes at scale, from Day 1 planning through full synergy realization. If you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and have led organizations through the complexity of M&A integration, this role is perfect for you!

Location: Ideally based in Maine for onsite availability as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Program Strategy & Alignment: Partner with Senior Leadership to translate strategic priorities, including M&A rationale and synergy targets, into scalable, cross-functional programs with clear outcomes, KPIs, and value realization plans; shape program roadmaps aligning multiple workstreams (including acquired-company integration) to enterprise objectives; drive clarity on scope, interdependencies, trade-offs, and decision frameworks across complex initiatives.
  • Program Leadership & Execution: Lead large-scale, global, cross‑functional programs from concept through implementation; lead end‑to‑end M&A integration planning and execution (Day 1/Day 100 readiness, IMO leadership, synergy tracking); design and implement governance models, operating cadences, and leadership reporting structures; anticipate, identify, and mitigate systemic risks and cross‑program dependencies; champion disciplined execution while maintaining agility; institutionalize best practices and scalable integration playbooks.
  • Executive & Stakeholder Influence: Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and deal teams, providing data‑driven insights and structured recommendations; influence and align stakeholders across functions, geographies, legacy organizations, and levels without direct authority; drive executive communication (steering committee updates, strategic recommendations); foster strong partnerships with internal teams and external partners including acquired‑company leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience leading complex, cross‑functional programs in a fast‑paced, matrixed organization, including direct experience leading M&A integration efforts.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels connecting enterprise vision to disciplined execution.
  • Strong business acumen, financial literacy, and experience managing programs with measurable ROI, including tracking and reporting on deal synergies.
  • Expertise in program governance, risk management, change management, and organizational alignment, with specific experience navigating the cultural and organizational change inherent in integrating acquired businesses.
  • Exceptional executive communication skills, with experience presenting to and influencing senior leadership and deal or integration steering committees.
  • Proven ability to lead through ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and drive alignment across diverse stakeholder groups, including legacy teams from newly acquired organizations.

Skills

  • Proficiency in program management and collaboration tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Microsoft Teams).
  • PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification and M&A integration credentials (e.g., AM&AA, M&A Leadership Council) a plus.

Pay

  • Starting Salary: $115,000/year + flexibility for the right candidate.
  • Opportunity for annual cash bonus.

Benefits

  • Health / Dental / Vision Benefits – Day‑One.
  • 5% matching 401k.
  • Additional benefits including financial support, pet insurance, mental health resources, volunteer paid days off, employee stock program, foundation donation matching, and more.
