Pay Rate: $100 per hour Summary:Location: Oakland, CADuration: 6 MonthsWork Mode: Onsite Responsibilities:Provide strategic guidance, coaching, and hands-on support to Electric sub-functions to strengthen and mature the compliance program and improve performance.Develop innovative tools and solutions to support/improve compliance program maturity.Assess Electric sub-function compliance programs.Perform compliance validation activities and testing controls for design and operating effectiveness.Support the development and implementation of Electric’s Compliance Controls Program by providing expert advisory support to cross-functional partners.Lead or support maintaining a complete and accurate inventory of regulatory requirements.Perform and oversee analysis of compliance metrics, evidence, and documentation to identify gaps, trends, and areas for improvement.Develop and/or support maintenance of guidance documents, procedures, templates, and job aids that support compliance maturity.Identify new or changing regulatory, operational, or risk concerns and recommend updates to programs or tools.Conduct and support compliance reviews with Electric sub-function leaders, facilitating compliance assessments and recommending corrective actions.Prepare and deliver clear, executive-ready reports and briefings on compliance maturity performance, risks, and opportunities for improvement.Serve as a subject matter expert on compliance program maturity practices, supporting knowledge sharing/benchmarking across the organization.Evaluate and analyze regulatory requirement and internal commitment challenges to determine extent of condition and remediation efforts.Develop and present program challenges and program improvement recommendations to directors and officers.Work independently with minimal guidance on complex risk and compliance issues with critical impact.Develop and coordinate preparation of presentation materials for various levels of management up to and including senior vice president.Work autonomously with all levels of leadership across functions to influence decisions around risk and compliance issues.Lead and develop materials for training and educating coworkers about compliance management principles.Assist with other compliance-related projects and activities as directed. Requirements:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.Minimum 6 years of related experience with steady progression of responsibilities. Preferred Skills:Master’s degree in engineering, economics, business administration, or a job-related field.Proven ability to design and lead implementation of compliance governance models that drive operational alignment and accountability.Strong understanding of utility operations and asset management, with the ability to translate regulatory expectations into field-executable strategy.Demonstrated success leading cross-functional, high-impact initiatives through risk-based planning, change leadership, and strategic execution.Executive communication skills and presence, with experience delivering high-impact presentations and updates to senior leadership and external stakeholders.Ability to align compliance strategy with enterprise goals, influencing direction across functions through collaboration, insight, and strategic clarity.Strong problem-solving, project/change management, and communication skills.Deep knowledge of utility regulatory frameworks (e.g., CPUC, FERC, NERC, WECC) and how they inform enterprise compliance strategy.
