Job Summary
The work location for this position is Dahlgren, Virginia, where we have provided support to the customer for over 50 years! Amentum is seeking a Senior Program Manager with engineering, scientific, business or technical discipline and/or equivalent experience to support software system engineering efforts in support of Naval projects at Dahlgren, VA.

You will be part of our growing systems & software engineering team and contribute to our diverse skillsets across multiple software and systems engineering contracts in support of our Software Center of Excellence. Responsibilities
- Excellent communication skills and interaction with customers and engineering personnel.
- Manage and lead a team of skilled professionals, technical, and support personnel.
- Formulate, guide, and direct the technical approach, define and negotiate with field activities and program office personnel for necessary resources, establish and control technical milestones, schedules, and costs for day-to-day execution.
- Lead the development and implementation of software life-cycle processes such as Agile and Waterfall, development environments, and service-based contracts.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, business or technical discipline.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoW security clearance.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive on and off base.
Qualifications
- 10 years of demonstrated management experience or project level management in DoW major systems.
- 5 years of program acquisition Life-Cycle process experience as addressed in the DoD 5000 series instructions.
- 5 years of experience as the primary point of contact for project tasking, including formulating, guiding, and directing the technical approach, defining and negotiating with field activities and program office personnel for necessary resources, and establishing and controlling technical milestones, schedules, and costs for day-to-day execution.
