About the role

The Senior Program Lead will lead the efforts for the Digital Fraud & Abuse team at GEICO. This role involves partnering with engineers, product and business stakeholders across the digital fraud domain to build scalable and resilient solutions that leverage industry-standard tech and design patterns. Key responsibilities include translating engineering requirements into clear technical products for multiple engineering teams, facilitating technical kickoff meetings, and ensuring successful implementation progress.

Responsibilities

  • Pay a key role in standardizing capabilities to enable intelligent decision making that supports swift response to emerging threats.
  • Drive cross-functional execution and prioritization for fraud prevention projects spanning identity, authentication, abuse prevention, and customer risk management.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to define project scope, mitigate obstacles, and ensure successful implementation progress.
  • Facilitate technical kickoff meetings by presenting the implementation plan and achieving consensus on scope, timeline, and integration specifications.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in project management and solutions engineering within digital fraud, abuse prevention, identity risk, and related fields.
  • Demonstrated strong technical proficiency, including understanding APIs, data workflows, customer environments, and effectively translating requirements for engineering teams.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of account takeover, social engineering, and authentication risk.
  • Proven track record of driving organizational change through influence in large, matrixed environments.
  • Experience working with data and technology teams to build machine learning and heuristic fraud signals and rules.
  • Experience partnering closely with product and engineering teams on platform evolution.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity, committed to continuous improvement, and capable of taking ownership of projects with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

  • Required: 8+ years in project management and solutions engineering within digital fraud, abuse prevention, identity risk, and related fields.
  • Preferred: Insurance, fintech, or large-scale consumer digital platform experience; familiarity with adaptive authentication, device intelligence, and risk engines; relevant certifications.

Benefits

Annual Salary Range: $120,000.00 - $260,000.00. Factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location, and market and business considerations are taken into account to determine the final hourly rate/annual salary.
