Responsibilities
- Provides executive oversight of multiple digital health portfolios including PGHD, Connected Device Integration, and Ambient AI clinical documentation initiatives.
- Develops and executes strategic roadmaps supporting enterprise digital health transformation across the Veterans Health Administration.
- Advises senior leadership on emerging technologies, operational strategy, program performance, and digital health innovation opportunities.
- Aligns program objectives with organizational priorities and customer mission requirements.
- Directs complex, multi-workstream programs from concept through enterprise deployment and sustainment.
- Oversees program governance, staffing, budgets, schedules, risk mitigation, and performance metrics.
- Safeguards successful coordination across clinical, technical, operational, training, and implementation teams.
- Establishes program priorities and resource allocation strategies to maximize mission outcomes.
- Serves as a primary interface with senior government stakeholders, clinical leaders, operational teams, and technology partners.
- Builds consensus among diverse stakeholder groups to support enterprise adoption of digital health solutions.
- Led executive briefings, strategic planning sessions, and program reviews.
- Leads, mentors, and develops multidisciplinary teams responsible for digital health implementation and operations.
- Provides oversight for managers, program leads, subject matter experts, and project personnel.
- Establishes performance objectives and promotes a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
- Leads enterprise adoption of emerging healthcare technologies including AI-enabled clinical documentation and connected health solutions.
- Identifies opportunities to improve clinical workflows, provider efficiency, Veteran engagement, and health outcomes through technology.
- Ensures compliance with federal, VA, security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Health Informatics, Information Technology, Business Administration, Public Health, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- (or commensurate experience)
- Minimum 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare, digital health, healthcare technology, program management, or related fields.
- Minimum 5+ years leading large-scale, cross-functional programs, portfolios, or organizational initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex healthcare technology implementations, digital transformation efforts, or enterprise modernization initiatives.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams consisting of clinical, operational, technical, and program management personnel.
- Strong understanding of healthcare operations, healthcare technology, digital health solutions, patient-generated health data, connected health technologies, artificial intelligence, or related healthcare innovation initiatives.
- Proven ability to engage and influence executive stakeholders, customers, government leaders, and cross-functional teams.
- Experience developing strategic roadmaps, managing organizational priorities, and driving measurable business and operational outcomes.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and executive communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives while balancing strategic priorities, operational requirements, and customer expectations.
