Senior Program Account Manager

About the role
The Senior Program Account Sales role is responsible for driving revenue growth, customer retention, and program expansion across a defined portfolio of program-based accounts. This position serves as the primary commercial leader for assigned customers, owning the relationship, identifying opportunities for growth, and ensuring alignment between customer needs and company capabilities. The role operates in close partnership with the Manager, Program Accounts, who leads the internal execution teams responsible for account management, inside sales, and customer service. The Senior Program Account Sales professional is accountable for developing and advancing opportunities, maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring that revenue objectives are achieved through disciplined pipeline management and consistent customer engagement.
Primary location: US-NJ-Lebanon. Travel: Yes, 20% of the time. Employee type: Full-time regular.
Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains strategic relationships with assigned customers, acting as the primary point of contact for commercial engagement and long-term program development. The role is responsible for understanding customer objectives, identifying opportunities for expansion, and positioning solutions that align with customer requirements and company capabilities.
- Drives revenue performance by building and managing a structured pipeline of opportunities across the program account portfolio. Ensures that opportunities are clearly defined, properly advanced, and aligned with customer timelines, while maintaining visibility and accuracy within CRM systems. Requires disciplined pipeline management and consistent follow-through to convert opportunities into revenue.
- Works closely with the Manager, Program Accounts to ensure seamless execution of customer requirements. Provides clear demand signals, communicates customer expectations, and aligns internal teams around account priorities. Ensures that opportunities, quotes, and orders are executed in a timely and accurate manner by collaborating effectively with account management, inside sales, and customer service functions.
- Responsible for expanding customer relationships within existing accounts by identifying cross-selling and upselling opportunities, increasing share of wallet, and strengthening long-term partnerships. Monitors account performance, revenue trends, and customer satisfaction, taking proactive action to address risks and capitalize on growth opportunities.
- Collaborates with cross-functional partners, including operations, business units, and commercial leadership, to ensure that customer needs are met and that opportunities are executed effectively. Contributes insights on customer trends, competitive dynamics, and market opportunities to support broader commercial decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and significant experience in sales, account management, or a related commercial function.
- A strong track record of managing customer relationships, driving revenue growth, and converting opportunities into measurable business outcomes.
- Experience working with complex accounts, multi-location customers, or program-based selling models is strongly preferred.
- High level of commercial awareness, including an understanding of how to identify growth opportunities, position solutions, and drive value for both the customer and the business.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

Pay
Annual salary range: $75,000 – $115,000. Range will vary by experience and geographic market. Bonus plan.
