About the role

The Senior Professional Engineer, Mechanical position is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining mechanical systems in commercial and industrial facilities. This role requires expertise in HVAC systems and a strong background in engineering principles.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement HVAC systems for new and existing buildings
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure compliance with building codes and standards
  • Perform system analysis and troubleshooting to optimize energy efficiency and reduce operational costs
  • Prepare detailed specifications and drawings for construction projects
  • Conduct inspections and evaluations of HVAC systems to ensure proper operation and maintenance
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation related to HVAC systems

Requirements

  • M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in HVAC design and implementation
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in applicable state(s)
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including air handling units, chillers, and cooling towers
  • Experience with building automation systems and energy management software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other engineering software
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Skills

  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems and technologies
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies
  • Knowledge of sustainable design and green building practices
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Pay

  • $85,000 - $95,000 annually
