Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a production team to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production goals.
- Create a culture of accountability, recognition, and continuous improvement.
- Own the development, maintenance, and implementation of skills matrices and training plans for the team, ensuring every technician has a clear path to competency and growth.
- Act as a leadership pipeline developer, preparing technicians and leads for promotion to meet the organization’s future staffing needs.
- Own and sustain a zero-incident safety culture. Lead safety initiatives, complete audits, and resolve safety issues proactively.
- Ensure team adherence to all safety protocols, standards, and regulations through 6S initiatives. Champion compliance readiness for external audits (TÜV, ISO, customer audits).
- Lead Tier 1 and Tier 2 daily production meetings to drive production flow and structured problem-solving.
- Manage production flow, resource allocation, and execution against the production schedule for Stretch and ORS.
- Work closely with Production Planners and Controllers to align material availability with production execution.
- Ensure build plans are met for both standard products and high-visibility NPI deliveries.
- Manage and communicate overtime requirements with advance notice, ensuring the team has clear expectations around schedule demands tied to production targets.
- Work closely with Fulfillment, Engineering, Quality, and Planning teams to meet production requirements.
- Serve as the operational point of contact for senior leadership during program reviews, ensuring production readiness aligns with revenue targets.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives, including overhead reduction, yield improvement, and waste elimination.
- Utilize lean manufacturing principles, including 6S, Kaizen events, and Theory of Constraints, to continuously improve production performance.
- Track, monitor, and drive key metrics (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Engagement).
- Lead factory-wide CI initiatives that impact multiple product lines, driving measurable ROI.
- Ensure correct and timely ERP transactions, including work orders, inventory movement, and reporting.
- Track time and attendance accurately for all team members.
- Utilize Jira and Salesforce to manage and resolve operational issues.
- Maintain data integrity in ERP/MES systems, directly supporting financial accuracy and compliance.
Desired Skills And Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
- 4–6 years of experience in Manufacturing Operations, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Proven ability to lead technician-level employees in a production environment.
- Practical experience with lean manufacturing methodologies and/or Six Sigma practices.
- Working knowledge of daily management systems, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement tools.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP/MES systems.
- Able to work effectively across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage production environments where performance directly impacts company financials and customer commitments.
